Surveyor are pleased to announce the dates for their 21st annual Winter Maintenance conference and exhibition.

Once again the treacherous weather conditions have made the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Following a mild start to the winter season, the weekend's snowfall and ice have once again brought travel chaos to the country, with road, rail and air services all being affected. With more snow forecast and the freezing temperatures settling in, the public are demanding to know what strategies are in place to prevent another period of transport turmoil.

Cold Comfort 2012 remains the ideal event to address the issues facing the industry, via both its comprehensive conference programme, and the networking and educational opportunities afforded by the UK's premium plant and equipment exhibition.

Main Conference Themes 2012

  • Winter resilience planning
  • Managing public expectations and criticisms
  • Utilising social media
  • Driver's hour's legislation
  • Route based forecasting
  • Current treatments and future technologies
  • Accuracy of forecasting
  • Current or potential salt delivery problems
  • Promoting community involvement in plan
